Hey! Team Atlas Kinesiology Every Fall and Spring semester, TWU Kinesiology students participate in the Texas Space Grant Consortium Design Challenge sponsored by NASA. The Fall 2023 all-female team, dubbed Team Atlas, took the top overall prize with its exercise device aimed at reducing muscle deterioration that occurs in astronauts, especially in the lower body, in microgravity. To address this lower limb atrophy, the TWU team built a working prototype for both resistance and aerobic exercise that targeted lower-body muscles. pi·o·neer verb develop or be the first to use or apply (a new method, area of knowledge, or activity) Or as we like to say: One who Boldly Goes Hi! I love most of the professors, and the culture around Texas Woman’s is uplifting and successful. First-Year I am a nursing student at the Houston campus. The professors are very knowledgeable, good at teaching and making lectures engaging. They really do care about the students. Sophomore I have come across some of the most graceful and professional professors during my time here... The environment is peaceful, the staff is supportive, and our opportunities are endless!
