An apple a day TWU’s nutrition and food sciences programs, including the Ph.D. in Nutrition and Culinology® program, equip students to improve community health through hands-on education, wellness initiatives and nutrition outreach, fostering healthier communities across Texas. All eyes and ears The Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic offers teletherapy services, enabling graduate students to deliver speech therapy services, under faculty supervision, and reach more families. Put a smile on one’s face For six years, TWU’s Dental Hygiene Clinic has organized the annual “Giving Kids a Smile” event, providing free oral care services to local children with significant dental needs, including exams, 16 cleanings, TEXAS WOMAN’S x-rays and sealants. Healthcaring is what we do At TWU, we’re dedicated to advancing healthcare by enhancing interprofessional education. Initiatives like the GoBabyGo project, which provides modified ride-on cars for children with mobility challenges, foster collaboration and improve patient outcomes. Paving the road to healthcare TWU is dedicated to enhancing rural healthcare through initiatives such as the Rural Healthcare Speaker Series, the Empowering Women for Rural Healthcare Leadership Mentoring Program and the Texas Rural Woman Grant Program.
