Hey! Lauryn Johnson BBA in Marketing Lauryn started her college journey at 17, nervous to leave her residence hall. With the help of on-campus organizations and experiences, Lauryn stepped out of her comfort zone and built leadership skills. When her parents lost their home to a flood and later when her dad passed, the TWU community embraced her with support. The support and encouragement inspired her to apply for dream internship opportunities, landing one with the Mark Cuban Heroes Center, where she worked during her senior year. pi·o·neer verb develop or be the first to use or apply (a new method, area of knowledge, or activity) Or as we like to say: One who Boldly Goes.
Hi! In 1901, TWU pioneered the way for women in Texas to earn an education. Today, we’re the first and only woman-focused university system. Our purpose hasn’t changed, we believe when you educate a woman — you empower the world! #CampusWithAHeart The campus itself is beautiful and welcoming to all students. I love most of the professors, and the culture around Texas Woman’s is uplifting and successful. First-Year There are always events going on throughout campus (at least three a week), so there is a minimal chance of feeling lonely or left out… and the campus atmosphere feels like a tightknit community. Sophomore Texas Woman’s University is the best place I have ever received an education. The professors make such an effort to get to know their students and advocate for them greatly.
